Mary Hood, Project Coordinator
Mary Hood is currently an Associate Professor at Arizona State University where she teaches intaglio and digital processes for printmaking. As part of her teaching philosophy, Mary focuses on the idea of the democracy of printmaking, the distribution of individual voices and the collective impact of community-affiliated projects. Recent projects include DITTO, a public art printmaking project and RIPPLE, a fundraising event for hurricane Katrina evacuees in Arizona. Mary is the recipient of numerous residencies, awards, publications and other honors for her work, which focuses on Silence, Time and Space, Identity and experience, and has exhibited both nationally and internationally . Most recently Mary was awarded the Faculty Achievement Award for her research and studio practice from the Dean’s and Provost offices at ASU. https://sec.was.asu.edu/directory/
